Frankly, I Think the Law is Anti-Feminist.

I talk on my phone when I drive.  If the kids are with me, they’re generally unusually quiet - giving me the option of actually having an uninterrupted conversation.  And, frankly, if it weren’t for multi-tasking on my occasional kid-free drive I may not be able to practice law, schedule appointments or have friends.

I bring this up because new Minnesota legislation threatens to double the fines for any moving violations that occur while chatting on the phone.  I was on board right up until they made no exception for those of us committed to dialing before we move and then using hands-free devices.  What say you?
