At least there’s one thing I don’t feel guilty about.

My cold must be improving because my inner snark seems to be returning… There’s an article on msn this morning about women and guilt.

It’s the usual article meant to make you stop feeling guilty about the little things you’ll never stop feeling guilty about. The author discusses common things that might make a woman feel guilt, and then she quotes some professionals who cite ways to learn to feel less guilty about them. That is all good. But some of the examples … well, the examples are just plain weird.

I quote: “Want to stop playing the self-blame game? Here’s how to handle those squirm-inducing situations in all the major aspects of your life. … Does this sound familiar? Your husband dozed off at someone’s wedding.”

“Does this sound familiar: Your husband dozed off at someone’s wedding[?]“

Umm… does that happen a lot? I’m the guiltiest mom around, but I have to say that’s one I haven’t lost sleep over. My husband is usually pretty good about keeping the eyes open at people’s nuptials. And if he didn’t… well I think I am pretty confident that I wouldn’t be feeling guilty about it.
